Used transmissions that actually match your build

Automatic, manual, CVT and transfer cases. Transmissions are the least forgiving part on a vehicle when it comes to fitment, so we match on VIN rather than on year and model alone.

Why the VIN matters more here than anywhere else

Two identical-looking vehicles from the same model year can take completely different units.

Gear ratios

Manufacturers pair different final drive ratios with different engines and axle packages. A unit with the wrong ratio will drive, but shift points, fuel economy and speedometer accuracy all go wrong.

Drivetrain layout

Front, rear, all-wheel and four-wheel-drive versions of the same model use different housings and output shafts. They are not interchangeable.

Control software

Later units carry a control module that may need programming to your vehicle. We flag this at quote time so your shop can budget for it.

Types we stock

Transfer caseCase, chain, shift motor where fittedElectronic and manual shift versions are different parts
Automated manualCase, gear set, actuator assemblyOften needs adaptation reset after installation

Installation notes worth passing to your mechanic

These are the four points that decide whether a used transmission lasts.

  • Flush the cooler lines and replace the transmission cooler if the old unit failed with debris
  • Fill with the exact fluid the manufacturer specifies, not a universal substitute
  • Replace the torque converter seal and check converter engagement before bolting up
  • Perform any relearn or adaptation procedure the vehicle requires after fitting
  • Check mounts and driveshaft angles rather than reusing worn hardware
  • Keep the installation invoice; warranty claims need it

Give us the VIN and the drivetrain. We'll confirm the exact unit.

No charge for the search, and no obligation once we come back with a number.
