Your engine quit. You don't need a new car.

How a part gets from a yard to your driveway

Four steps, and you only pay at the third one.

1

Tell us the vehicle

Year, make, model and engine size. A VIN is better still, because it pins down the exact variant.

2

You approve the price

You see the mileage, the warranty term and the shipping cost before you pay anything.

4

It ships freight

Engines and transmissions move on a pallet by freight carrier, usually 3 to 7 business days.

Used engines

Complete assemblies for gas and diesel vehicles, sold with the block, heads, and the accessories that came bolted to them. Every unit we quote has a recorded mileage figure, and we tell you what was checked before it left the yard.

  • 4-cylinder, V6, V8 and inline diesel assemblies
  • Compression and oil pressure checked where the yard supports it
  • Mileage on record for every unit we quote
  • Interchange verified against your VIN

Used transmissions

Automatic, manual, CVT and transfer cases. Transmissions are unforgiving about the exact variant, so we match on VIN wherever we can rather than on year and model alone.

  • Automatic, manual, CVT and transfer cases
  • Matched by VIN to avoid gear ratio mismatches
  • Torque converter included on most automatic units
  • Fluid and case condition inspected before dispatch

Questions we get before every order

How do I know the part will fit my car?

Send us your VIN. Manufacturers change engines and transmissions mid-year and across trim levels, and the VIN identifies the exact build. If you can't find the VIN, the year, make, model, engine size and transmission type will usually get us there.

What warranty comes with the part?

Standard cover is 90 days from the delivery date on the assembly itself. Extended terms are available on many units for an additional cost. The exact term is written on your invoice before you pay, so read it there rather than relying on this page.

Does the warranty cover the labor to install it?

No. Our cover applies to the part. Installation labor, fluids, filters, gaskets and towing are the customer's responsibility, which is why we ask that installation is done by a licensed repair facility.

How long does shipping take?

Most engines and transmissions ship on a pallet by freight and arrive in 3 to 7 business days depending on your distance from the supplying yard. Remote and residential addresses can add a day or two.

What mileage should I look for?

Lower is better, but condition and maintenance history matter more than the odometer alone. We tell you the recorded mileage on any unit we quote so you can weigh it against the price rather than guess.

Can I return it if my mechanic finds a problem?

Yes, subject to the conditions on our return policy page. Report any issue before installation and within the stated window, and keep the part in the condition it arrived in.

Tell us the year, make and model. We'll do the hunting.

Call the parts desk or send the request form and we'll come back with mileage, warranty and a landed price.
